Central (City) Park Outdoor Rink Information

The 2012 Christmas Tree Recycling Pickup date is set for Monday, January 9, 2012. Have your tree at the end of your driveway by 7:00 a.m. Keep in mind the Albertville Public Works crew will be traveling throughout the city limits picking up and recycling the trees. If by chance you might have been missed - contact the PW Department at 763-497-3145 and leave a message.

7-2-5: PARKING DURING WINTER MONTHS:

A. Definition: For the purpose of this section, the word "vehicle" shall mean any device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a street or highway, including, but not limited to, motor vehicles and trailers.
B. Time Period Parking Is Prohibited: Parking is prohibited on any city street from two o'clock (2:00) A.M. to six o'clock (6:00) A.M. from November 1 to March 31.
C. Parking Prohibitions: No person shall park or leave standing any vehicle upon any street in the city after a snowfall of two inches (2") or more, nor upon any street which is covered or has deposited on it two inches (2") of snow or more, until the snow from any such street has been removed or plowed; except, that parking or leaving standing any vehicle in that part of any street right of way designated as a "parking lot" or "commuter parking area" by the city and posted by appropriate signs shall be permitted. The official depth, for the purpose of this section, shall be determined by the mayor or any other city official duly designated by resolution of the city council whose decision shall be final and not subject to appeal.
D. Removal By City: In case any vehicles are parked or left standing on the street in violation of this section, said vehicle or vehicles may be removed by or under the direction of any police officer or city employee. Removal of the vehicle by or under the direction of a police officer or city employee shall not prevent prosecution under this section. Within seventy two (72) hours from the time of removal of any vehicle, notice of the removal or impounding, or both, together with the designation of the pound, shall be given by the police officer or city employee to the owner of record of such vehicle. Such notice may be made in person or by telephone, when possible, and if not possible, by letter. (Ord. 2004-12)
