Special assessments are a way for cities to charge certain properties for the cost of making local improvements, or to collect certain charges that will benefit those properties. The authority to levy special assessments is granted under Minnesota Statute, Chapter 429. Special assessments are also used to collect costs associated with eliminating weeds, removing diseased trees, and removal of public health hazards from private property. Delinquent utility fees are also collected utilizing special assessments.

Request a Special Assessment Search by emailing form to the Utility Billing Department @ tnubbe@ci.albertville.mn.us. Please allow 24-48 hours for processing.

There is a $20 fee per Property ID payable to the City of Albertville. Payment can be received via mail to 5959 Main Avenue NE Albertville, MN 55301 or electronically at Payment Service Network.

*Fee must be received by the city before Assessment Search will be performed.
